This marks the fourth album from Eisuke Mochizuki, an artist who has continued to turn out sophisticated instrumental works with a piano sound base. Mochizuki has remained true to his foundation in melody, and once again with this album presents songs exuding a sense of poignant beauty.
As the theme for this latest work, he has boldly chosen "Love & Healing." With wrenching testimony that it is love which offers the greatest healing power for the human condition, these impeccably cool and heartrending melodies sail out to soothe the listener with natural ease.
A dramatic shift from his previous albums with acoustic sounds, in this CD Mochizuki uses a sampling format beat to accentuate his urban sounds, and in doing so generates an exciting new dimension in listening please. In the rhythms as well, this music features bosanova sounds, club style up-tempo pieces, ballads and other styles rich in variety, and are guaranteed to keep the listener entranced throughout.
The album jacket, meanwhile, portrays a sense of drifting in water, with the vivid blue color combining with the enchanting sound of the songs to foster a strange and wonderful sense of tranquillity.
